Printemps des Champagnes

Champagne, France (region-wide)

Organised each spring by the Syndicat Général des Vignerons de la Champagne, Printemps des Champagnes is the region's great welcome-back weekend — when hundreds of grower-producers across the Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Aube open their cellar doors simultaneously. It is the best single opportunity of the year to taste across the full breadth of grower Champagne styles, from blanc de blancs to blanc de noirs, in the vignerons' own homes.

Alba International White Truffle Fair
Festival
Saturday 10 October – Sunday 16 November 2026

Alba International White Truffle Fair

Alba, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy

Held every autumn in the medieval city of Alba since 1929, the Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba is the world's most celebrated truffle market — and one of the great wine-and-food events of the Italian calendar. For six weekends, the Cortile della Maddalena fills with truffle dealers, Langhe winemakers, and visitors from across the world. The white truffle season coincides perfectly with the Barolo and Barbaresco harvest, making this the ideal moment to explore the Langhe's cellars alongside its most prized ingredient.

Free entry to the fair; ticketed tastings and dinners vary

Hosted in Volnay for 2027, the Saint-Vincent Tournante is Burgundy's annual celebration of its patron saint of winemakers. The village opens its cellars, the streets fill with tastings, and the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin leads a solemn procession through the vines.

Dolcetto Summer Fest: Diano d'Alba
Festival
Saturday–Sunday, 17–18 July 2027

Dolcetto Summer Fest: Diano d'Alba

Diano d'Alba, Langhe, Piedmont

Held in the hilltop village of Diano d'Alba — home to its own Dolcetto DOCG, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba Superiore — this midsummer festival celebrates the grape that Piedmontese winemakers drink themselves while the Nebbiolo ages in barrel. Producers from across the Langhe open their cellars and set up tasting tables in the village piazza, pouring Dolcetto alongside local salumi, tajarin, and vitello tonnato. The festival is relaxed, local in character, and one of the most unpretentious wine events in Italy.

Entry free; tasting glass from €10
Barbaresco a Tavola
Dinner
Saturday, 9 October 2027

Barbaresco a Tavola

Barbaresco, Langhe, Piedmont

Held in the village of Barbaresco itself — population 700, tower visible from every vineyard — Barbaresco a Tavola is an autumn harvest dinner that brings together the commune's producers for a single long evening of Nebbiolo and Langhe cooking. Tables are set in the village piazza and in the cellars of the local cantina. Producers pour current releases alongside older vintages, and the kitchen works through the full canon of Piedmontese autumn: tajarin al ragù, brasato al Barbaresco, and the season's first white truffles shaved over everything. It is the most intimate of the Langhe's harvest events — small, local, and entirely focused on the wines of one village.

Dinner from €65; tasting pass from €20
Vinum: Alba
Tasting
Saturday–Sunday, 24–25 April 2027

Vinum: Alba

Alba, Langhe, Piedmont

Held each spring in the medieval city of Alba, Vinum is the Langhe's largest and most comprehensive wine fair — two days in which the producers of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto, Langhe Nebbiolo, and Roero open their bottles in the historic centre. The Cortile della Maddalena and the surrounding streets fill with tasting tables, and the timing — late April, when the new Barbera and Dolcetto releases are just out and the Barolo Riservas from older vintages are being poured alongside them — makes for an unusually wide cross-section of Piedmontese wine in a single weekend. The city's restaurants and wine bars extend their hours, and the whole of the Langhe seems to converge on Alba for the occasion.

Day pass from €25; weekend pass from €40
Ba&Ba: Turin
Tasting
Saturday–Sunday, 13–14 March 2027

Ba&Ba: Turin

Turin (Torino), Piedmont

Ba&Ba brings the wines of Barolo and Barbaresco into Turin for a two-day grand tasting held in one of the city's historic palazzi. Producers from across the Langhe — from the established names of Serralunga and Castiglione Falletto to the grower-producers of Treiso and Neive — pour current releases and older vintages in a setting that matches the grandeur of the wines themselves. The timing, in early spring before the Langhe's own tasting season begins, makes this the first major opportunity of the year to taste the new Barolo and Barbaresco releases side by side. Turin's extraordinary café culture, its covered arcades, and its proximity to the Langhe make it the ideal city base for a Piedmontese wine weekend.

Day pass from €30; weekend pass from €50
